Project Smile: Stuffed Animals for Emergency Situations

These industrious 3rd and 4th graders made tie dye t-shirts to sell to make money to buy stuffed animals to donate to police, fire and ambulance services. They completed all the tie dye steps- twice- and sold their shirts for $12 each. They made a profit of more than $350. They each shopped with a parent to buy small stuffed animals to donate to the police, fire and ambulance departments in Medford. The recipients of the stuffed animals were happy to have them so that they could comfort a younger child who may feel scared when in an emergency situation.
