CCSR 5th grade students Allison Waldron and Kyla Magras worked together to organize a school-wide Coin Challenge to benefit the American Cancer Society, a nationwide voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer.
CCSR 4th grade students Avni Shah Hutchison, Cora Schuler, and Eliza Felix worked together to organize a silent auction featuring nine pieces (three each) of their latest artwork via the Brooks School Community Facebook page.
CCSR 5th grade students Annabelle Foster and Aya Sofia Vedro Yeager worked together to host an April bake sale to raise money for The Home for Little Wanderers.
CCSR 4th grade students Alessandra Donato, Alice Grenham, and Ayelca Veillard worked together to create a collection of jewelry made only from resin and neighborhood plastic trash.
CCSR 5th grade students Allie Materazzo and Olivia Hull worked together to offer West Medford a dog walking service named “Wagging Walkers” in order to raise money for Legacy Rescue, a local dog adoption agency.
CCSR 4th grade students Kydan Cabralis, Martin Alvanos, and Caleb Davis worked together to raise awareness of the Black Lives Matter movement.
CCSR 5th grade students Nick Berryman and Rhodey Vining worked together to use lunchtime food waste to create nutrient-rich soil with the help of a new compost tumbler.
CCSR 4th grade students Trevor Wood, Eli Kahnberry, and Clifton Longman-Keene worked together to create three pop-up hot chocolate stands to raise money for the Worldwide Wildlife Foundation, an organization that helps preserve and protect the planet’s wildlife.
The 4th and 5th grade CCSR students worked together to host an event at the Oak Grove Cemetery to clean the headstones of Medford’s Korean War veterans.
