Marie Nyland

My name is Marie Nyland. I teach French and Italian at Medford High. I am really excited to be on the CCSR Team and be a part of positive change for our awesome school, community, city, and world. In this role, I have the chance to work and meet some amazing young people who inspire me and give me a glimpse that our future is indeed bright with them in it! I want to be part of THAT! Being a socially, passionate and kind person. Some fun facts about me: I was born and raised in Montreal, Canada. I speak 5 languages.  I completed my graduate work in California where I met my husband and we have three young adult sons. In raising our sons, it was extremely important that they understood the power of giving and caring for others and our roles in making this world a better place.
