Sara Dion

Sara Dion is an English Learners small-group teacher at McGlynn Elementary. She’s 31 years old and has been teaching in Medford for 7 years. Her favorite part about being a teacher is those “a-ha” moments when a student finally gets something. She leads CCSR because she feels that citizenship and social responsibility are equally important to academic achievement, and there isn’t always time in the school day for project-based learning to encourage citizenship and empathy. In her spare time, she enjoys acting in community theatre productions and traveling to new places.
