Candy Cane Grams

During the month of November, students thought of ways that we could help our community keep warm. Many students in our district do not have warm coats to wear. Nate Burns and Rowen Mustone came up with the idea of selling candy canes to fellow students and staff. Due to food allergies, plastic candy canes that could be kept forever were ordered. Students sold candy canes during lunch for $2.00 each. Candy canes were delivered to each homeroom on December 23rd. Each candy cane had a decorated tag with ribbon that included each student’s name, homeroom, as well as where they were from. This project was a huge hit among fellow students and staff. Students raised $378.00 and 28 coats were purchased to donate.
