Friendship Bracelets for Bridges Homeward

CCSR students Bohdin, Layla, Vitoria, Bea, Esther, Jerrica, Jorge, Sophia and Camilla decided they wanted to sell friendship bracelets in order to raise money for a cause. The group worked hard to create over 50 bracelets to sell at the Roberts Elementary School’s Art & Music Night. The group decided to donate the proceeds to an organization called Bridges Homeward. The students wanted to help kids who are in the foster care system. Bridges Homeward’s Intensive Foster Care program supports children and teens in foster care who were born exposed to substances, experienced abuse or neglect, or have complex medical or developmental needs. Working with DCF, Bridges Homeward finds transitional, therapeutic foster care for these children – homes where they can live and thrive.
