Breast Cancer Awareness, Pink Ribbon Face Painting

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Students set up a station to paint pink ribbons on fellow students’ cheeks and to also sell pink ribbon pins for $2.  This was important to the students because some of them have been personally affected by this disease.  Students raised $256 for Breast Cancer Research.  Students spent time researching programs and decided to donate to the Mass General Hospital Cancer Center.  After our fundraiser we were able to discuss what it meant to them to be able to raise money for this specific case.  Each student had ideas and questions they talked about.
